INFORMATION FOR BORROWERS

Library Cards

Library cards are issued free of charge to Dayton residents. Non-residents may obtain a card for an annual fee of $10.00 per person or $12.00 per family (up to 4 members). We have no age limit, but we do require parental signatures for patrons under the age of 18 years. Each patron assumes full responsibility for the materials and fines charged to his or her card. Lost cards and address changes should be promptly reported. The charge for a replacement card is $5.00.

Loan Periods

Books, audio books, DVDs, and periodicals may be checked out for a period of 2 weeks.

Renewals

If no holds are on an item, renewals may be made in person, by phone, or online.

To use the online service, please sign up for it in the library.

Reserves

Books in high demand may be put on reserve, but may not be renewed if on hold list. Online reserves, limit of 5, may be made if there are no existing fines or over-dues.

 Returns

After hours, all library materials may be deposited in the designated drop.

Books as Tributes...

Books are fitting tributes to the person or events that we wish to remember. Memorials and honorariums may be made to the library. If you would like to make a gift or donation, information is available at the circulation desk, or you may call (936) 258-7060.
